Mission #1
Examine the important characteristics of a sea turtle listed below. Each member of your group is responsible for researching at least one characteristic. Give a detailed explanation of each answer.
- Our tiny sea turtles are not hard to find in the ocean because they don't look like any of their creature friends in the ocean. What are the physical characteristics of a sea turtle? For example, list what a sea turtle looks like: focus on their size, their shape, their color, and their shell.
- Anyone hungry? I know sea turtles are! What do they eat? Do they use their teeth when eating or is there another special way they consume their food?
- In the big blue ocean, sea turtles live in a certain part. Can you tell us where most of these little creatures live?
- Oh, no! Our little sea turtles are becoming extinct! What can we do as humans to help these creatures stay in our beautiful blue oceans?
